  • Congratulations to Mr. Edward Lee for successfully completing parole!

Celebrating Mr. Edward Lee’s Incredible Milestone.

Today, we joyfully congratulate Mr. Edward Lee on successfully completing his ten‑year sentence — a tremendous milestone that reflects strength, perseverance, and God’s grace at work.

Mr. Lee shared that he is very happy to have spent this final year at The Lieutenants House, where he was able to complete parole in a supportive, structured, and faith‑centered environment. He openly expressed that he has “tried and failed in the past,” but after spending nine years in TDCJ, and transitioning through the program here with David & Ivory Ministries, he now feels confident that his future journey is much brighter. He’s unsure what his future goals are but is happy to take each day as it comes.

We are proud of his commitment, his growth, and his determination to walk forward in purpose. Congratulations, Mr. Lee — your new chapter begins today, and we are honored to celebrate it with you.

  • An Evening of Excellence: Clients and Staff Experience Fine Dining and Etiquette Training at Fogo de Chão.

David & Ivory Ministries is committed not only to providing structure, accountability, and spiritual growth, but also to offering experiences that broaden horizons and reinforce the dignity and potential within every individual we serve. On a recent evening, clients and staff were blessed with such an opportunity — a night of fine dining, fellowship, and personal development at Fogo de Chão in Houston, Texas.

The evening began with a touch of elegance as a luxurious limousine arrived at The Lieutenant’s House to transport attendees to and from the restaurant. For many, this was a first‑time experience, and the sense of honor and excitement was evident. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for a night designed to uplift, encourage, and remind each participant of their inherent worth.

Professional Etiquette Training: A Lesson in Confidence and Poise

A highlight of the evening was the presence of Ms. V.J., a highly skilled and gracious Etiquette Trainer, who provided hands‑on instruction throughout the dining experience. With professionalism and warmth, she guided attendees through the fundamentals of formal dining, including:

    • Proper posture when sitting and rising from a chair
    • Correct handling of utensils and glassware
    • Navigating multiple courses and table settings
    • Demonstrating respectful and confident table manners

For many clients, these were new skills — practical tools that build confidence in professional, social, and formal environments. Her instruction transformed the dinner into a meaningful learning experience, empowering participants with knowledge they can carry into future opportunities.

Laughter, conversation, and genuine connection filled the table, reflecting the spirit of community that lies at the heart of David & Ivory Ministries

    A Culinary Experience to Remember

The meal itself was exceptional. Fogo de Chão’s renowned Brazilian cuisine offered a rich variety of flavors, from expertly seasoned meats to the vibrant selections of the Market Table. The attentive service and warm atmosphere created an environment where clients and staff could relax, enjoy, and share in a memorable evening together.

We extend our deepest gratitude to him for sharing this experience with us and for continually guiding us toward becoming the men we were created to be. His leadership is a steady reminder that transformation is possible, and that every man in this program has a purpose worth cultivating.

  • Honoring Memorial Day with Fellowship, Gratitude, and a Community Fish Fry

This Memorial Day, David & Ivory Ministries came together for a celebration rooted in remembrance, gratitude, and the joy of fellowship. At The Lieutenant’s House, clients and staff gathered for a meaningful afternoon that blended reflection with the comfort of a home‑cooked meal — a reminder of how community strengthens us during moments of honor and remembrance.

The celebration began with the solemn playing of Taps, its familiar notes calling everyone to pause and reflect. A moment of silence followed, honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The room held a quiet reverence — a shared understanding that the freedoms we enjoy today were purchased at a cost.

One of our Lieutenants, a proud military veteran, then led the group in prayer. He spoke from the heart about what Memorial Day means to him personally — the weight of sacrifice, the memories of those he served alongside, and the responsibility we all carry to live with purpose and gratitude. His words offered both comfort and perspective, reminding everyone at The Lieutenant’s House that this holiday is not just a date on the calendar, but a moment to honor courage, loss, and legacy.

After the prayer, the atmosphere shifted into warm fellowship as everyone gathered for a beautifully prepared meal. The kitchen served a feast that brought smiles all around: crispy fried catfish, golden french fries, hush puppies, fresh salad, and a homemade tartar sauce that quickly became a crowd favorite. For dessert, clients enjoyed a beautifully decorated American‑flag brownie cake, crafted with care and creativity — a sweet tribute to the day’s meaning.

As the day came to a close, the spirit of Memorial Day remained present: honoring the fallen, supporting the living, and celebrating the bonds that carry us forward.
