Community Service

David and Ivory Ministries, Inc. provides to clients an opportunity to contribute to the community, gain skills and develop job contacts, by creating community service opportunities. These opportunities range from neighborhood lawn for the elderly, empty lot clean-up for the safety of the neighborhood, and historical Negro cemetery clean up in the Fifth Ward Community of Houston, faith-based Angel Food, distribution of toys to children of incarcerated parents through Angel Tree of Prison Fellowship Ministries, and Action Ministries a community service support.

The Lieutenant’s House is also an authorized community service provider through Harris County Community Supervision and Correction Department where probationers and parolee can complete their court ordered community service obligations.

The goal of our community service program is to develop

workplace skills, better equipping the participant for a competitive employment experience. Participants agree to perform a specified number of hours that either meet their court-ordered obligations or their own personal commitments. The Lieutenant’s House also is very active with the Keep Houston Beautiful Program through the Mayor’s office of the City of Houston.
